The Composition Master Class is a university course (7.5 credits, MUHC63 Master Class Båstad 2016 Composition) offered by Malmö Academy of Music, Lund University, and will take place in Båstad in collaboration with Båstad Chamber Music Festival and Musik i Syd. The Chamber Music Festival takes place the same week as the course and the Master Class students will have full access to attend the concerts with international first-class musicians.
The Composition course takes place in parallel with a university course in Chamber Music playing. Both courses will work together resulting in the possibility for the composition course students to have their compositions and exercises performed by the students in the Chamber Music course.
The course is directed toward individuals who want to develop their composing in general, and in particular for Chamber Music ensembles with Piano.
The course supervisor and instructor is composer and Professor of Composition at the Malmö Academy of Music, Rolf Martinsson. (www.rolfmartinsson.com)
The course is located in Båstad from June 27th to July 2nd, near the creative environment of the Båstad Chamber Music Festival, where Master Class participants can gain inspiration from concerts with world-class artists each day.
Students with citizenship of countries not within the EU/EEA, or Switzerland pay a course fee SEK 2.500.
